EPT Campione Won By Jannick Wrang 2012

Jannick Wrang has won the EPT Campione, after overcoming a field of 570 players over five days to lift the title, and collect the €640,000 first place prize.
With his triumph in Switzerland, the Danish pro with over $1 million in tournament cashes online has now taken his live tournament winnings to $1,241,886, and commenting later on his remarkable result, said:
“Everyone was tough actually, it was a sick final table. I can’t compare it with any other wins not yet. It’s a nice pay day.”
As the €5,300 EPT final table got underway, Fabrice Soulier was the chip leader (3.48m), followed by Olivier Busquet (3.10m) with Jannick Wrang in 3rd spot on a 2.882m stack.One hour later, Fabrice Soulier (K-Q) pushed his diminished stack into the A-6 of Wrang and with the board running K-6-2-A-7, Soulier was out in 3rd ($320,000), thus kicking-off the heads-up phase of the competition.
At this point, Wrang held a 10.41m to 6.68m chip advantage over American Olivier Busquet. The US pro’s stack further reduced to 4.2m chips when he open-shoved with Ad-9h into Wrang (Ah-6d), who made the call. The board subsequently ran out As-3h-5h-10h-2h to make Jannick Wrang the higher flush, and relegate Busquet to a runner-up finish worth $574,000,
In the meantime, Jannick Wrang became the third consecutive EPT Champion from Denmark and collected his biggest score to date of $854,000. Wrang’s second largest cash came in 2009 after winning the Pokerstars EPT Scandinavian Open for $41,117.
